Content and publishing
Draft texts to a consented list.
Drafts one text blast, or a short series to reactivate a quiet list, and only for the segments with a documented consent record. Every message names the sender and asks for one thing, the first always spells out how to opt out, and a person sends them all from your own platform.

01When to use it
Use it when a consented list has value in it.
- You own a consented list worth messaging: a promotion, a new drop, a reopening, or reminders for pickups or appointments.
- Your category limits paid ads, so the audiences you own do more of the work. Texting may be restricted too: it reads your rules file first and names the provider check you must make.
- A list has gone months without a message and you want to wake it without a wave of opt-outs.
Not for
- An email series. Use /email-sequence
- A single message written for one named prospect. Use /email-personalize
- A public social post. Use /social-post
02What it needs
Records it needs before drafting.
- Your rules file: banned or restricted channels, claims you may not make, required disclosures, and who approves. If it bans texting, the skill says so and stops. With no file, it stops too.
- A consent record for each segment: how and when consent was given, what it covered, and where the record lives. A link to the system that holds it counts. Someone remembering it does not.
- Your texting platform, whether your brand is registered on it for business texting, and its policy on your category. Carriers and providers often refuse categories such as cannabis, alcohol and tobacco, so you confirm this with your provider.
- Segment data from your records or an export: last purchase or visit, how often, location, and the real size of each segment.
03What it writes
Every message, counted and timed.
- brief.md
- Segments and sizes, which checks passed, the conditions carried, and the named approver.
- final/messages.md
- Each message with its character count, segment count, send window and stage. One that spills into another segment is flagged, with a shorter version offered.
- data/segments.md
- How each segment is defined and where its data came from.
- Ledger rows
- List size per segment and, where past sends supply them, opt-out and redemption rates, each with its source.
04Limits
What it never does.
- Send a text, connect to a texting platform, upload or export a list, or run a test send.
- Write for a segment with no documented consent, or count a purchase, a loyalty sign-up or a wifi login as consent to marketing texts.
- Tell you a send is legal, or that a carrier or provider will accept your category.
- Estimate a list size or a rate. A number with no source is marked absent.
What stays with you.
- Confirming with your provider that your brand and category can send.
- Approval from your named approver, and any legal question, which goes to your counsel.
- Sending from your own platform, then watching opt-outs against the stop point it sets.
05Sample output
One message, as drafted.
An excerpt from the messages file for a made-up bakery waking a quiet list. Segment sizes in a real run come from your records, never an estimate.
| Stage | Send window | Message | Characters | Segments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1, warmest first | Thu, 10am to noon | Example Bakery: show this text at our Main St shop for a free coffee with any pastry. Reply STOP to opt out. | 108 | 1 |
| 2 | Tue, 10am to noon | Same text, sent only if stage 1 stays under the stop point | 108 | 1 |

Flags
- Stop point: more than 4 opt-outs from the 212 people in stage 1.
- A version with a coffee emoji runs 2 segments. The plain version above is offered instead.

07Questions
Before you run it.
Can I text everyone who has bought from me?
It will not draft for them on the strength of a purchase alone. A sale, a loyalty sign-up or a wifi login is not treated as consent to marketing texts. It drafts for segments with a documented record, and for the rest it can draft a consent sign-up flow for your counter and your website.
Will it tell me whether my texts are legal?
No. It names each check and who owns it: your provider for whether your category can send, your counsel for the law, and your named approver for each message. It never says a send is lawful or approved.
What goes into every message?
The sender's name, one offer or piece of news, and one action. The first message in any send or series always spells out how to opt out, and later ones follow your platform and your rules file. Each also gets a send window that keeps to your quiet hours. Every disclosure your rules file requires goes in too, with an age or eligibility gate where it demands one.
