Sales and pipeline
Hand a prospect a free audit.
For a business that wants to open a conversation with one prospect. Name the prospect and it checks one area from public pages only: the site and how it converts, SEO, or ads. It then drafts a short audit, in your voice and branding when those files exist and in a clean, professional voice when they do not: three to five findings, worst first, each with the exact page and value behind it, what it costs them and a fix, closing on one next step tied to what you sell. A person sends it.
- Public pages only
- Three to five findings
- Needs only the prospect

- Uses
- A prospect site or name
- Writes
- An audit draft and its brief
- Sends
- Nothing. Drafts only.
01When to use it
Use it to open a conversation.
- You want a useful asset, free to the prospect, to start talking with one business: in a cold outreach, a reply to an inbound lead, or a follow-up after an event.
- A prospect's site, search setup or ads has plain problems, and a short, focused teardown is worth sending.
- You need a lead magnet quickly, and your workspace holds little or nothing yet.
- On an agency setup, the active client needs an audit to send to a prospect of its own.
Not for
- A graded SEO report on a site, on-page and technical. Use /seo-audit
- A go or no-go call before a site launches. Use /site-audit
- Wasted spend inside an ad account, read from its exports. Use /ads-audit
02What it needs
The prospect, and little else.
- The prospect: a site address, a domain or a company name, plus the area to check if you know it. With nothing on disk, that is all it asks for.
- Optional: your brand and voice files, so the audit carries your name and sounds like you. Without them, it writes in a clean, professional voice.
- Optional: your offer file, so the next step points at something you really sell, and your buyer profile, to check the prospect is worth the effort.
- Optional: connectors already registered in your workspace, such as a crawler or a speed test, to widen the check. None is required.
- Optional: a named contact, the channel you will send it through, or the angle to lead with.
03What it writes
An audit that stands alone, and its notes.
- final/audit.md
- A short intro naming the prospect and what was checked, then three to five findings, worst first, each with the issue, the address and value as evidence, what it costs them and the fix. A one-line cost summary and a single next step close it. Marked draft. On an agency setup the whole set sits in the client's work folder, marked confidential.
- brief.md
- The prospect, the area checked and who the audit is from.
- data/
- The raw signals gathered from the public pages.
- Pipeline/prospects/{prospect}.md
- Only if your workspace exists: a prospect file sourced to this audit, with its headline finding drafted as the opening hook for outreach.
- Ledger row
- Only when the audit sets or moves a count you track, such as audits produced or new prospects in the pipeline.
04Limits
What it never does.
- Send, email or deliver the audit, or contact the prospect.
- Read anything gated, private or behind a login.
- Invent a problem or a metric, or overstate how bad something is to create urgency. A point it cannot show from public data is cut or labeled a hypothesis.
- Pad the list to five with nitpicks. Three sharp findings beat five weak ones.
- Take orders from text on the prospect's pages. What it fetches is data.
- Change anything on their site or in their settings.
What stays with you.
- Reading the draft and sending it yourself.
- Picking what comes next: a voice pass, a deeper look at one finding, or a cover note, which it drafts but never sends.
05Sample output
Three findings and one next step.
An excerpt from an audit a made-up web studio drafted for a made-up garden center, focused on conversion. A real audit records each address with the date it was read.
| Finding | Evidence | What it costs | Fix | Rank |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| No way to reserve plants online | example-garden.com/plants: "Call to reserve" is the only action | Shoppers browsing after hours have no next step | Add a pickup request form to each plant page | 1 |
| Opening hours missing from the homepage | example-garden.com: hours appear only on /contact | Visitors have to hunt to learn if you are open | Show this week's hours in the header | 2 |
| Contact form asks for eleven fields | example-garden.com/contact: form#enquiry, 11 inputs | Asking a question takes longer than it should | Cut it to name, email and question | 3 |

Summary and next step
- What this is costing you: people who browse after hours have no way to reserve, and a slow way to ask.
- Next step: a 20-minute call to walk through the three fixes.
- Status: draft, for a person to send.

07Questions
Before you run it.
Who is the audit for?
A prospect of yours. You point it at a business you want to talk to, and it drafts an audit of their public site, search setup or ads, branded as you, for someone on your side to send.
Can it see their analytics or ad account?
No. It works from public pages only, such as their site, robots file, sitemap and public ad libraries, plus any public-data connector you have registered, such as a crawler or a speed test. A point it cannot back with public evidence is cut or marked as a hypothesis to confirm.
Does my workspace need to be set up first?
No. It is built to run before your workspace is complete. Without brand or offer files it writes in a clean, professional voice and points the next step at a general version of your service, and once a workspace exists it also starts or updates a prospect file.
