By hand
Five tabs, one email.
Someone exports a spreadsheet, pastes a total, and writes a paragraph from memory. A second location gets a different version. By the time it sends, nobody can say which cell the total came from.
Weekly owner report
The weekly owner report is a single page, ready on Monday, made from numbers that already live somewhere you can point to. It is built, and it is set up for each business, because the sources are yours. A person reads the page before a client sees it. If a figure has no source, it does not get a sentence.
Two ways
By hand
Someone exports a spreadsheet, pastes a total, and writes a paragraph from memory. A second location gets a different version. By the time it sends, nobody can say which cell the total came from.
With the system
The draft pulls the figures you named, from the tools you named, and leaves a blank where a source is missing. You read it. Then it can go to a client, or it can stay on your desk.
Status
The page shape exists. The sources, the locations, and the reader are set up for the company in front of us. Read access is all we ask of the tools. We do not need a login that can edit them.
What the page holds
A short brief of what moved: jobs, bookings, replies, or whatever you decided belongs on the page. Each line names the source next to the figure.
A second shop or a second clinic gets its own block on the same page, from its own source. We do not add the locations together unless you asked for a combined line and the sources support it.
If a figure looks off, the page shows the source so you can check it. You can strike the line. A wrong number does not get a smoother sentence. It gets fixed or it stays off the page.
The yes
The setup uses read access to the tools that hold the numbers. It does not get a login that can change a job, a price, or a customer record.
You name who reads the draft on Monday. That person can send it on, mark it internal, or send it back. A client does not get the draft as the system’s first stop.
A blank stays a blank. The page will not fill a missing week with a story. The reader sees the hole and decides whether the source can be added later.
The record
Each Monday’s draft is kept, with the sources it used. You can open last month’s page and see the same lines, not a rewritten memory of them.
Edits, strikes, and the version that was allowed to leave are stored. If a client asks where a number came from, you have the page and the source, not a forwarded email.
Owners use it to start the week. Agencies use it so a client sees numbers a person already checked. The job is the same page either way.
Next to other work
Client intake is how a new file starts. The Monday page can count files opened. It does not replace the form that collected them.
Content and SEO is the publishing habit. The report can say what went out. It does not write the post.
Home services, dispensaries, and vet and dental may each put a block on the Monday page. The lines change. A figure still needs a source.
Questions
Only the lines you chose, each with a source you can open. A home-service shop might show booked jobs and open estimates. A clinic might show visits kept and visits cancelled. A shop with two locations gets a block for each. The page is short on purpose. If a number has no source, that line is absent rather than estimated in prose.
Yes, or it is not on the page. The draft names the tool and the field the figure came from. Read access is enough. We do not need a login that can change records. When a source is down or a field is empty, the page shows the gap and the reader decides what to do with it.
A person you name. The draft is for that reader first. They can correct a line, drop a line, or allow the page to be sent. A client copy is a later step, and only of the version the reader released. The system does not mail a client because Monday arrived.
Yes. Each location keeps its own block and its own sources. A combined total appears only when you ask for it and the sources can support the addition. We do not average two shops into a single figure that neither shop can find in its own tool.
You can see the source beside it, strike the line, or correct it before anyone outside the company reads the page. The stored draft keeps both the pulled figure and the change. Next week’s page does not quietly repeat a number you already threw out.
Monday
Name the spreadsheet and who it is for. We will say whether the Monday brief is the first build.
