Botender

The menu, in the chat.

Botender is an AI budtender that sits on the dispensary’s own site. It answers from the live Jane menu, keeps an age gate on by default, and refuses medical claims. A shopper who asks for a person gets a person. You install it yourself. The install notes and the plans are on botender.com.

AI system platform for The menu, in the chat

What it does

Questions about what is on the menu, not a new menu.

Jane, live.

The chat reads the Jane menu you already run. Stock and product names come from there. Botender does not keep a second catalog that can drift from the counter.

Where it installs.

The install page lists WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, and a tag manager snippet. If your site is one of those, you can put the chat on it without a rebuild.

A person at the end.

When the shopper asks for staff, the thread is handed over. The chat is not the last word. A staff person takes it, and they can see what was already said.

What it refuses

Medical claims are out. The age gate stays on.

No treatment talk.

It will not say a product treats, cures, or helps a condition. Sleep, pain, and anxiety are the usual asks. The reply is a refusal or a handoff, not a softened version of the claim.

Age gate, default on.

The shopper confirms legal age before product talk. That default is part of the product. Turning it off is a shop decision, and it should be a deliberate one.

Handoff.

A shopper who wants a person gets a staff member, with the thread already in front of them. The chat answers from the menu. The person answers the rest.

Install and plans stay on botender.com.

Install.

botender.com/install is the checklist: the snippet, the menu connection, the age gate. Follow that list when you put the chat on the site. The product home is botender.com.

Plans.

botender.com/pricing has the plans, including the free monthly replies the product currently offers. Start there when you are ready to turn the chat on.

The build, if you need it.

The dispensary page is the path around the chat: the site, the promo queue, the reorder. Use the plan when the chat is not the whole job.

Questions

Before you put the chat on the site.

What is an AI budtender, as this product does it?

A chat on your site that answers product questions from the Jane menu and hands the thread to a staff person when the shopper wants one. It is not a budtender on the floor, and it is not allowed to give medical advice. If your menu is not on Jane, say so before you install. The product is built around that menu.

Which sites can it sit on?

WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, and through a tag manager, according to botender.com/install. If your site is a custom build outside that list, do not assume the snippet will behave. Ask on the plan and name the platform.

Will it tell a shopper that a product helps them sleep?

No. That is a medical claim. The product refuses those, and so do we. A shopper who keeps asking is handed to staff. Staff decide what the shop is willing to say out loud. We will not write an exception into the chat because a competitor’s site says it.

What happens when a shopper asks for a person?

The thread is handed to staff, with what was already said still visible. The chat does not keep the shopper in a loop. Staff finish the conversation, and they can see the menu answers that came before the handoff.

The menu

If the chat is the job, install Botender.

If the job is the promo queue or the path around the menu, tell us that instead. A person will say which one you are describing.
