Cost estimator
Price an agent from the same published rates as the pricing index. Every rate here is a row in that table, so there is no second set of numbers to drift.
Default is Anthropic's own support-agent figure.
Output costs about 5x input. Agents read more than they write.
0% · a cache hit costs 10% of the input rate. This is the single biggest lever on an agent's bill.
Clutch's most common AI project range is $10,000 to $49,999.
Your own figure. No credible published benchmark exists for this.
What this cannot tell you
Speech synthesis is billed per character, not per minute, so any voice figure here is the platform and telephony only. How much the agent actually says decides the rest, and no vendor can price that before the call happens.
Tool calls, retrieval, and the systems the agent writes into are not modelled. Anthropic bills web search at $10 per 1,000 searches on top of tokens; an agent that searches every turn adds a line this estimator does not know about.
Upkeep is your own number on purpose. Every published "maintenance is 15 to 30 percent of build cost" figure traces to content marketing with no named research behind it, so putting a default there would be inventing one.
A number is not a decision
This prices the parts. It cannot tell you which workflow is worth pointing an agent at, which is the part that decides whether any of it pays back. That is what the free plan is for.
